We are located on the Southern End of Mount Tamborine near Lahey lookout.

Coming from Brisbane take a direct route on the pacific highway heading south from Brisbane turning off at Oxenford ( Exit 57) and follow the scenic route signs up the Tamborine – Oxenford Road.

Travelling from the Gold Coast take the Nerang Exit ( Exit 71) via the Nerang – Beaudesert road, turning off and following Henri Roberts Drive.

From Canungra, take the Tamborine Mountain Road, when you reach top of mountain take a sharp turn into Lahey lookout road.

Check in time is from 2PM and check out time is 10AM.

We offer an 11am checkout for guests on Sundays. Early check in may be possible but is subject to availability. Email contact@vhcountryestate.com.au

At the time of booking, we require 50 percent payment of the total package amount and the balance to be paid in full 30 days prior to arrival to secure the booking. Bookings made prior to 30 days must be paid in full to secure the booking.

Subject to your refund and remedy rights under the Australian Consumer Law, the following change and cancellation fees apply to our standard rates and bookings, this includes all online bookings and booking made in person or over the phone, via chat or email.

Date changes or booking cancellations to confirmed bookings within 14 days of arrival will incur a 100% amendment/cancellation fee.

Covid 19 Affected Bookings

Should a government mandated intrastate travel restriction, a lockdown be enforced that prevents you from travelling on your booked date or you are unable to travel due to a COVID rated illness, we will move your booking to a future date within 12 months with no penalty. We will hold the amount paid as 12-month travel credit to use at the same retreat. If a cancellation or amendment is received within 72hours prior to arrival, a 100 percent cancellation fee will apply.

We do recommend Travel Insurance for all guests.

Verandah House Country Estate is exclusive to guests 15 years and older, guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. If the entire retreat is booked we can accommodate where possible.

Our Verandah Suites and Terrace Suites cater for a maximum of two guests and our Estate suite sleep up to four guests.

Rooms are serviced every other day, we refresh rooms daily.

Yes, you can, we are currently in application for a liquor licence, we welcome you to explore our local wineries, cellar doors and distilleries to purchase supplies or BYO your own.

Yes we do have a swimming pool and a cedar hot tub overlooking the most spectacular views.

We require a minimum two night stay on all bookings.

Absolutely, whether it a group booking or a special couple event, we can help arrange a private chef, a bottle of champagne, flowers and chocolates, intimate picnic overlooking our spectacular views, massages even a private yoga session, let us know and we will be more than happy to organise this for you. We don’t allow any cooking in the guest suites, instead we have provided a community kitchen area complete with BBQ’s, Pizza Oven, Weber smoker, Weber portable BBQ, fire pit with camp oven and fridge storage. Do you want something more convenient, you can purchase onsite our delicious CJ’s Crab and beef lasagne, toss a rocket salad together from our local farm producers, Byron Bay pizza, delicious curry’s and cheese boxes? We haven’t forgotten the gourmet ice-cream, chips for those late-night urges.

We currently have six guest suites, with two additional suites opening pre-Easter 2023. Each room has a king bed – sleeps 2 and our Estate room sleeps 4. We are looking at approval for two glamping options in 2023.

Absolutely, our water is spring feed and filtered through a high tec UV filter system.

We are 100 percent smoke- free (including e-cigarettes etc..) in all suites and community areas. To smoke outdoors we ask that you don’t throw butts in gardens (fire hazard) and respectfully, always keep several metres away from guests. Failure to comply may result in financial penalty.

We have created a delicious continental breakfast with only the freshest ingredients served conveniently picnic style. Whether you would like to enjoy your breakfast at the hang gliders lookout or at our picnic tables overlooking our stunning views, breakfast in bed or use one of picnic blankets and create a romantic setting for tow. Our self-serve breakfast caters for gluten free and alternative milk options.

We are on a nature reserve with pets not permitted for their own safety.
